Fantasy Baseball: 2 Start Pitchers:Week of 6/20

Studs

1.  Jered Weaver (@FLA, @LAD) – Weaver gets the benefit of not facing a DH, and facing the reeling Marlins/Dodgers this week. (ERA: 2.06, WHIP: .92)

2.  Roy Halladay (@STL, OAK) – NL leader in Ws with Hamels, and is on his way to another Cy Young if Hamels doesn’t ruin it for him… (ERA: 2.56, WHIP: 1.04)

3.  Anibal Sanchez (LAA, SEA) –  Anibal requested to face Halladay last week, neither got the W, but he outpitched Halladay. (ERA:  3.02, WHIP: 1.13)

4.  Clayton Kershaw (DET, LAA) – He’s been struggling a bit away, but he’s home this week, and has two winnable games. (ERA:  3.28, WHIP: 1.13)

5.  Madison Bumgarner (MIN, CLE) – He hasn’t been a bum, that’s for sure.  He hasn’t given up more than 3 ER in his last 10starts. (ERA: 3.21, WHIP: 1.29)

Sleepers

1.  Doug Fister (@WAS, @FLA) – Fister has lost his last 3 starts, but he faces two winnable games on the road, and he avoids the DH this week (ERA: 3.53, WHIP 1.27)

2.  Carl Pavano (@SF, @MIL) –  He’s quietly putting together a string of three good starts.  Expect it to continue vs. some NL bats. (ERA: 4.20, WHIP: 1.33)

3.  Carlos Zambrano (@CHW, @KC) – The inconsistent ace should produce this week. Yes, we’re talking about his big arm, not his big mouth (ERA: 4.59, WHIP: 1.34)

4.  Andrew Miller (SD, @PIT) – Miller, a touted Red Sox prospect, gets an opportunity with Clay Buchholz ailing, good spot to take a chance and hope he does well (Stats: N/A)

5.  Chris Narveson (TB, MIN) – He’s 3-1 at home, 1-3 on the road… He’s at home this week, and hopefully he can pull out 1 of 2 (ERA: 4.48, WHIP: 1.39)
